This forum needs something to stand out.

Pretty much the title. There are hundreds of 40k forums out there- the only way this is gonna succeed is if it either has an interesting name and/or if it has a gimmick or something to stand out. I can't see this forum making it any other way.
Sorry to be a pessimist/realist, but that's the way I see it.

Ordo Xenos could work. I don't have the experience or skill to start one, but I'd chip inoccasionally.

I mentioned it in that "Hello Dakka" thread, but this place needs a new name before it can focus on drawing a large number of people. Lest GW happily march up and kick this sand castle over.

Well my only suggestion in that other thread was PewPew (not very good at making names ), then a link to an article about sci-fi words as I though that's what would probably help more.

Basically this place needs a theme as that would make the name easier to come up with. As it's 40k at the moment and it would be restricted by any possible IP problems in the future if it does gain popularity I guess the theme is sci-fi or something like that. If it does pick up this would let you do some merchandising if you needed the extra funds to improve the site in the future.

Pretty much you need to do some brain storming for possible ideas with your moderation team as you do run the site after all.

This is the article I linked to before, don't expect it to have a solution straight away, I'm guessing it will help more as inspiration.
